Mandai Park Connector (PCN) - Upper Seletar Reservoir

Part of this reservoir can be seen as one walks along the Mandai PCN. Upper Seletar Reservoir is one of the largest reservoirs, located in the center of island. There is no way to enter the jungles from this side.

Mandai Park Connector (PCN) - Highways and Flowers

Bougainvillaea flowers beautify a highway bridge.

Mandai Park Connector (PCN) - Open Field?

Not really, it's just a grassy patch near an on-ramp of a highway.

Mandai Park Connector (PCN) - Track

Pretty much a straight way all the way.

Mandai Park Connector (PCN) - Restricted areas

Some of the green areas are restricted. They might be areas belonging to nearby military bases but likely they are just to keep mischief out. How effective? No idea.

Mandai Park Connector (PCN)

Part of the Northern Park Connector network. The straight stretch is about an hour's brisk walk. This connector does not pass through any reserve or park. Still lots of green and flowers to spot along the track that runs along a highway.

I only walked from the red "You are here" square to the T-junction of that dark green line. I wasn't confident I could take on that bit going north towards Woodlands town. It did look like it goes up a lonely looking road, I'm not entirely sure what's there. If there were more cyclist or joggers in sight, I might have felt alright about having a look-see. But there was no one there but me.
